Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA Film will include The Invaders

This weekend The First Avenger: Captain America director Joe Johnson had a lot of awesome details to reveal about Marvel's upcoming Captain America movie. It looks like we can add another cool bit of news to the pile, it looks like they plan on including a team of the Captains friends known as The Invaders. The Invaders is a team of super heroes that fought along side Captain America and his sidekick Bucky during World War II. The team consisted of several different characters from the golden age of comics. Some of the team included the original android Human Torch, his sidekick Toro, Namor the Sub-MarinerUnion Jack who would be an awesome addition! Possibly Spitfire and Blazing Skull. Together they helped fight off the Nazis.

The Invaders won't just have small cameo's in the film either, according to Johnston via CHUD he revealed that they are going to play a very big part in the film and said,

They'll be in the entire second half.

That my friends is a lot of screen time, and I think it's great that they're throwing them in the mix. There will be six members on The Invaders team and Chud points out that if you add Bucky and the Red Skull, Marvel's Captain America film could actually end up featuring nine costumed characters. How freakin awesome is that! We wouldn't have seen this many superheroes together on the big screen since X-Men.

It will be interesting to see who Johnston cast's in these roles. He recently said that he wanted to cast an unknown actor for the role of Captain America but wanted to surround him with bigger name actors, which means The Invaders could end up consisting of many familiar faces.

I'm really excited to see some if not all of these Marvel characters come to life in Captain America. The more I hear about this movie the more excited that I get.

What do you think about the The Invaders being a big part of the Captain America movie?
