Soderbergh gets a great Cast for his new Action-Thriller CONTAGION

Steven Soderbergh has been developing a new film project called Contagion, which currently does not have a studio home, but with the actors he’s got lined up to star in the film, I’m sure it won't have a problem getting studio backing.

Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Jude Law and Kate Winslet are all set to star in Soderbergh's new action-thriller. The movie is prepping up to shoot later this year.

The story is based on a script penned by Scott Z. Burns, and centers on a deadly disease with multiple plotlines in the same style as Soderbergh's Traffic.

Burns also wrote the scripts for The Bourne Ultimatum and The Informant!, which Soderbergh also directed. This new film is surrounded by all kinds of great talent, and I'm looking forward to seeing what exactly he has planned.

As of right now Soderbergh is shooting another action-thriller, called Knockout, for Relativity Media. This is a project I’m definitely interested in seeing, the film stars Antonio Banderas, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor and martial arts champ Gina Carano.
