Berry Pepper Joins Coen Brothers TRUE GRIT

Barry Pepper is an actor that doesn't work enough in this industry. He's a proven that he's got talent and for some reason he doesn't get enough good roles. He had a great run with Saving Private Ryan and The Green Mile, but after that the good solid roles just kind of stopped for him. His acting carer took a turn for the worse when he made Battlefield Earth.

I'm happy to hear that he's been cast in the Coen Brothers next film True Grit. He will take on the role or "lucky" Ned Pepper, the notorious outlaw played by Robert Duvall in Henry Hathaway's 1969 classic Western. Here's one of my favorite lines from the original film that the Pepper says.

I never busted a cap on a woman or anybody much under sixteen. But it's enough that you know that I'll do what I have to do.

Pepper will co-star along side a fantastic cast which includes Matt Damon, Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld.

Pepper will next been seen opposite Kevin Spacey in Casino Jack, George Hickenlooper's pic about disgraced Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff. I hope Pepper's career only gets better from here.
