First Look at Dwayne Johnson in FASTER - Note: This is not a Disney Movie
Hey! Dwayne Johnson is actually going to star in a new hardcore action film that isn't his normal Disney movie where he has to wear tights and fairy wings. I'm sorry, but Johnson has made some pretty poor decisions in the movies he's made. I guess he got paid in the end, but this guy should have had an incredible bad ass action movie resume by now. I don't mind mixing it up a bit, but he's sold his soul to Disney.
In his new film, Faster, Johnson plays an ex-con who is out to avenge his brother's murder. The film, directed by Notorious' George Tillman, also stars Billy Bob Thornton and Carla Gugino as cops working to stop Johnson from completing his deadly to-do list.
In a interview with USA Today, Johnson reveals that he gets shot in the head in the film and adds,
Isn't that great? It's fun to come back after a few years. I always consider acting like an education. You learn something on every movie. I feel like I'm coming to this as a different actor.
It will be nice to see The Rock doing something other than a Disney movie, and It sounds like Faster is actually going to be something that Johnson is in that will be worth watching.
