Must Watch: Fake Trailer for WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY
Remember that video for the Ballad of G.I. Joe that had such a great cast -- Billy Crudup, Julianne Moore, Olivia Wilde, Zach Galifianakis, Vinnie Jones -- that you wish that they really did make a movie out of it (instead of what really ended getting made into a movie)??? Well the FunnyOrDie team has done it again with this fake trailer for the biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
As advertised, this biopic "is sure to sweep the Academy Awards." Well, not really. But the comedic cast is pretty amazing. Aaron Paul (Big Love, Breaking Bad) takes on the title role of the man, the myth, the parody legend; while go-to-hottie Olivia Wilde (Tron Legacy, House) portrays Madonna; Gary Cole (Talladega Nights, Office Space) and Mary Steenburgen (Step Brothers) plays Al's parents; Patton Oswalt plays Dr. Demento, and Paul Scheer, Brian Huskey and Weird Al Yankovic himself round out the cast.
I know this "trailer" is over-the-top and fictionalized, but would you see a film about the real-life story of Weird Al Yankovic?
