First Look at IRON SKY, Let the Nazi Moon Invasion Begin!
Last year a great concept trailer was released for retro sci-fi film called Iron Sky. The trailer was awesome, and it looked like it would make for a very fun, original and awesome movie. The films concept ended up getting picked up at the Cannes Film Festival, and it got its funding for a full length feature film. Now the film just started shooting. They are currently going through the process of determining what the final look of the film will be and work out the "mood of the movie and to iron out the kinks of our effects and CGI workflow."
Here's the story:
Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity.
From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.
Now it’s 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.
Here are a couple images for you to check out. The costume department is headed by Jake Collier, who has worked on projects such as The Pacific and Farscape. What you see in the images below is the design you will see in the film.
