New Jurassic Park sequel being Created in Comic Book Form

While Joe Johnston is talking about making a fourth Jurassic Park film, IDW Comics and Universal Pictures are teaming up to to create a new comic book series that will act as a sequel to the film franchise. The first five issues' story arc is called Jurassic Park: Redemption, and it brings back two characters from the original film. The story follows John Hammond's grandkids, Tim and Lex Murphy 13 years after the events in the first film. 

It’s been 13 years since little Tim and Lex Murphy escaped from the island of Isla Nublar, and recent public opinion has reversed,with the world clamoring for authorities to re-open Jurassic Park! While Tim and Lex try to preserve the Hammond family name, a secret deal is hatched to open a new park! This time they’ll get it right… right?

The story is being written by Bob Schreck and Nate Van Dyke is creating the comic book art. Each issue will feature a cover by Tom Yeates as well as a variant cover by a few other major artists such as, Frank MillerArthur Adams, Paul Pope, Bernie Wrightson and Bill Stout. Jurassic Park: Redemption #1 (32 pages, full color, $3.99) will be available in stores in June.
