THOR's Chris Hemsworth Talks about Chris Evans Casting and THE AVENGERS Starts Shooting in Early 2011
Actor Chris Hemsworth, who is playing Thor in the Kenneth Branagh directed Marvel film, recently did a little interview with MTV in which he revealed his thoughts on Chris Evans taking on the role of Captain America and he reveals when Marvel plans on shooting The Avengers.
On the casting of Chris Evans he had this to say,
Fantastic, I just found out the other day. He's great, he's got a ton of charisma, and he's a bloke, and I think he has all the points to pull that off.
I think that Evans will end up doing a good job and surprise the hell out of us when he plays Steve Rogers. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Hemsworth went on to talk about The Avengers, the directors involved and when it will shoot. When asked about Louis Leterrier taking on the directing duties of the film he said,
I've heard a lot of names bounced around, and then we all gather together next January/February to shoot the thing. So, look — any of the people I've heard I'd be impressed by. I have no idea who it's going to be.
I have a feeling it's going to end up being one of the directors who has already been involved with developing Marvel properties. On top of Leterrier that includes Jon Favreau, Joe Johnston or Kenneth Branagh. I'd be surprised if they brought a new director in to work with these characters. As for shooting the thing next January/February, if you think about it that's coming up really quick. I can't wait to see all of our favorite Marvel heroes fighting together on the big screen!
Who would you like to see direct The Avengers?
