Spielberg’s Dinosaur Series Brings in Trek Producer and wants to cast Friday Night Lights Star

Steven Spielberg’s new prehistoric dinosaur TV drama series Terra Nova has brought in Star Trek producer Brannon Braga to be an executive producer on the series and a show runner. He also co-created FlashForward, which is a TV show that needs a little tweaking right now, and produced 24 which has officially been cancelled. Braga has a strong background, and I think he'll be good for the show.

It is also be reported that Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights, Kyle Chandler is rumored to be cast as the lead character in the series. According to EW he's made a very lucrative offer, Fox's new show. He's currently shooting the fifth season of Friday Night Lights. I imagine this next season will be it's last, I hope not! It's seriously one of the best TV shows being made right now.

Terra Nova follows a family from 100 years in the future who travel back in time 150 million years to prehistoric Earth ruled by dinosaurs. And Deadline reports that the show has been given a 13-episode order which they are currently prepping up production for.

I hope this new TV series ends up being good, it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. The show has all the right pieces, it just needs to be executed properly.
