First Image of Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond In GREEN LANTERN

We showed you Ryan Reynolds a while back stadning on a sidewalk and sporting what looked like his ring and today thanks to AICN we have  Peter Sarsgaard walking with what looks like some of his fx makeup still on. 

Sarsgaard will play the villain Hector Hammond in the Green Lantern movie. It's amazing how  these pictures get leaked and how security on supposedly closed sets let thiings like this happen, but it does and that's why we're here!

As previously reported this character will be based more on Geoff Johns Green Lantern Stories.

Dr. Hector Hammond is the pathologist son of a senator who is seen as a disappointment in his father's eyes. He is a criminal on the run from the Law when he discovers a meteor in the woods.Observing that radiation from the meteor has caused the nearby plants to evolve rapidly, Hammond decides to kidnap four scientists and expose them to the meteor. The radiation causes their intellects to evolve, but also has the side effect of sapping their wills. Hammond is able to force the scientists to use their heightened intellect to create amazing new inventions, which Hammond sells for his own profit.

Green Lantern hits theaters June 17, 2011.
