Olyphant replacing Copley in 'I AM NUMBER FOUR' Over A Nose And Ears?
Variety reports that District 9 star Sharlto Copley has dropped out of the DreamWorks pic 'I Am Number Four' and has been replaced by Justified star Timothy Olyphant. The article goes on to say that it was due to scheduling conflicts with his press obligations for Fox's The A-Team. Olyphant was available while his new FX hit Justified is on hiatus.
Four is directed by DJ Caruso and is being produced by Michael Bay and his boom stick from a script by mega-writing team of Alfred Cough, Miles Miller and Marty Noxon.
'Four' Short Synopsis:
I Am Number Four revolves around a group of nine earthbound aliens who escaped their planet just before it was annihilated by a rival species. Hiding out on Earth, disguised as a human teenager, the title character discovers that he is being hunted by the enemy that destroyed his planet.
So you wanna hear something totally different now? Are you ready for this because what you read next sounds like the stereotypical/ spoiled/star on the rise ego that we hear getting our of whack sometimes.
Check out what FilmDrunk has reported. It is indeed true that Olyphant has replaced Copley but not to scheduling obligations. It seems like Copley had a childish temper tantrum and quit because he wanted to wear a prosthetic nose and fake ears kind of like Spock from Star Trek and director DJ Caruso wanted the aliens to be human like because they have to fit in at high school. Talk about a Hollyweird ego getting out of whack! Hey Mr. Copley! You aint that big of star and this'll probably help you get more time at home now if this is actually true! How do you feel about that now ego boy?
