Trailer for Tsui Hark's Martial Arts Fantasy Film DETECTIVE DEE

For those of you who were or are big into Hong Kong martial arts films in the 80's and 90's then the name Tsui Hark may sound familiar. He directed a ton of great martial arts movies just a couple of them include Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain and Once Upon a Time in China film series.

If your not familiar with his films and you are into martial arts films then I suggest you start checking out the films that he's made. Now he's developed a new martial arts fantasy film called Detective Dee which looks absolutely stunning! There are some fantastic visuals to behold in this new trailer, unfortunately I have no idea what is going on, because I can't understand what is being said in the trailer. But, here is a nice little synopsis that fills us in on some story details.

When the mysterious deaths of a series of loyal subjects threaten to delay the 690 A.D. inauguration of Empress Wu Zetian, China's only female leader, she summons the infamous Detective Dee back from an exile into which she cast him eight years earlier.

Hopefully this film at least get a limited theatrical release here in the states, because this film looks like a movie that needs to be seen on the big screen. Now check out this great trailer below and tell us what ya think!
