Dominic Cooper to Play Howard Stark in CAPTAIN AMERICA? That's What he Says

As you know Howard Stark is the father of Tony Stark, we all saw him in Iron Man 2 being played by John Slattery from Mad Men, which was perfect casting for the historical Marvel figure. I hoped they would bring him back for Captain America: The First Avenger, but according to actor Dominic Cooper he will actually be the man to play Howard Stark. At least a younger version of him anyway.

He apparently dropped this little tidbit of information in an interview with Salon. There is no quote from him but Salon says he's "slated to play Howard Stark (aka, Iron Man's father) in the upcoming Captain America."

He definitely looks like he could pull of a younger Howard Stark. I say that because he seems to have a little bit of a Downey Jr. flare to him. he's also not that bad of an actor. Ya never know, this could either turn up being false information, or it could end up being true. Regardless, take a look at the picture below and let us know if you think he should play Howard Stark in Captain America.

If this end up being true Cooper will join Chris Evans, who plays Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
