Bryan Singer Meeting with Aaron Johnson and Andrew Garfield for JACK THE GIANT KILLER

Bryan Singer's next film project Jack The Giant Killer was scheduled to shoot in England this summer, but the start date for the filming has been pushed back to February 2011. Apparently the reason for the delay is so they can figure out how they are going to pull off the visual effects of the film, since the movie is going to rely heavily on them. Singer is also planning on previz-ing the movie from start to finish, and will use a process that will allow him to see the giants in-camera as the actors play opposite them.

As for who will star in the film, Singer has been quietly meeting with actors to play the young farmer Jack, and two of them include Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus). Jack is the Hero of the story who must lead a dangerous expedition to the kingdom of giants in hope of rescuing a princess.

No one has officially been cast in the film yet, but it gives you an idea of the type of person Singer is looking for to play the main character. Johnson and Garfield are both fantastic young actors, and I'd be happy if either one of them got cast in the role.
