Guillermo del Toro To Reveal his next Film Project at Comic-Con

Just last week news broke that Guillermo del Toro was working on developing a new Van Helsing movie for Universal Pictures. It was reported that he wrote the the screen treatment for the film, and that he would also produce it. We are all on the edge of our seats to hear what Del Toro will be doing next, and it looks like we'll find out next month at Comic-Con. After this new broke out all over the net, Del Toro made the following statement to Del Toro Films to clear things up.

Van Helsing (writing and producing) is still in talks and not quite certain. Even then, I would like to share my plans only at COMICON. I am taking it slowly and marking very, very carefully the calendar of projects that I will be involved as producer, writer, etc I will not announce the project I intend to direct until then. I am very happy to say that all the projects and partnerships being considered are both quite surprising and, I hope, powerful. Much as I want, I cannot say much more at this time but I anxiously await to share these with you. I will be shopping on the floor in San Diego for several days. See you there!!

So it sounds like we are going to get a lot of good information from Del Toro at Comic-Con this year. He will not only announce what his next directing project will be, but he'll give us a full line-up of films that he will be involved with in some capacity. It will be awesome to see what he has up his sleeve. Personally, I would love to see him direct his long awaited Frankenstein passion project.

The GeekTyrant squad will be at Comic-Con in full force this year! So we'll make sure to get you all the awesome breaking geek news!

What would you like to see Del Toro direct next?
