Michael Gillio Writes New Life Into CARTER BEATS THE DEVIL And Pens THE INTERVENTIONALIST For Alexander Payne

Writer Michael Gillio is a busy man right now, he and producer Jon Shestack have breathed new life into the once shelved Carter Beats the Devil.  The film is getting a second chance over at Warner Brothers thanks to Gillio's new script. Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner had tried to get the project off the ground over at Paramount but it fizzeled out and got shelved.

Gillio has also written a script for Alexander Payne calld The Interventionalist in which Payne will either produce or direct.  There's a couple of different routes according to Deadline that The Interventionalist could take, one being based on a medical term "interventionist" which means, “classifies various syndromes that prevent a church from making the changes that are needed for new life”and this one this describes Banksy-like artists, “who trespass into the everyday world to raise our awareness of injustice and other social problems.”who knows where this project is headed or even what the title will enbd up meaning.
