Must Watch U.S. Trailer for VALHALLA RISING
Hey Gang! IFC Films has released the official U.S. Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn's Viking film Valhalla Rising. I'm really excited about this movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. It just looks completely brutal, and I've liked everything I've seen so far from the film. I really hope it doesn't disappoint. If it's anything like the trailers and footage I've seen I don't know how it will. But then there's Alex from Firstshowing who seemed to really hate it. I wont let the negativity stop me from seeing it though, I like these kinds of artsy period films.
The film tells the story of a One-Eye mute warrior of supernatural strength, who has been held prisoner by the chieftain Barde for many years. Aided by a boy, Are, he kills his captor and together they escape, beginning a journey into the heart of darkness. On their flight, One-Eye and Are board a Viking vessel but the ship is soon engulfed by an endless fog that first disintegrates as they sight an unknown land. As the new land reveals its secrets and the Vikings meet a ghastly fate, One-Eye discovers his true self.
The film stars Mads Mikkelsen from Casino Royal and the new Clash of the Titans. Now, Check out this new trailer and tell us what ya think! The movie comes out on July 16th.
