Elijah Wood to Star in FX's WILFRED

Elijah Wood has signed on as the male lead in FX's new series, Wilfred. The series is a reworking of an Australian sitcom that chronicles the romantic woes of a girl named Sarah when her dog develops a grudge against her new beau, Adam. This is made all the more bizzare for him as he sees Wilfred as a man in a dog suit, not an actual dog.

Family Guy's David Zuckerman will be leading the creative team behind the series. With his experience humanizing dogs, he'll likely fit into the role well.
