Sci-Fi Short Film THE RAVEN to Get Feature Film Adaptation with Mark Wahlberg

Back in April we showed you a great little sci-fi short film called The Raven which was directed by Ricardo de Montreuil in Los Angeles. The film was shot on the RED camera and made on a budget of $5,000 dollars. Here's is the short synopsis for the short film.

Chris Black possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Chris runs for his life in this sci-fi thriller set in an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles.

It looks like Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to The Raven to turn it into a feature film, and according to our friends at Latino Review Mark Wahlberg is in talks to produce and star in the movie. It's also being reported that Justin Marks (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) will end up writing the screenplay.

This actually could end up being something pretty cool, and I'm looking forward to seeing what becomes of this. Check out the short film below and let us know what you think.
