Multiple Man will be in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, and Benjamin Walker is out as Beast

According to the geeks over at Comic Book Movie Jamie Madrox a.k.a. Multiple Man will make an appearance in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class!

You might remember that this character was actually in X-Men 3: The Last Stand, or maybe you wouldn't remember because of how we all wanted to forget about X-Men 3 after we saw it. He was portrayed by Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane. There is no word on who will play the character in First Class, but it would be could to see this character given a bigger role.

Jamie Madrox's mutant ability was apparent at birth when a duplicate was created upon his being slapped by the doctor. Two weeks later, Jamie's father resigned from the Los Alamos Nuclear Research Center and moved his family to an intentionally isolated farm in Kansas at the suggestion of Professor Charles Xavier. From a young age, Madrox was given a special suit to wear that would neutralize his mutant power, but before this could be explained to him a freak tornado killed his parents when he was 15.

This bit of Multiple Man information came from the same source that tipped CBM off about Benjamin Walker being cast as Beast. That turned out to be true, but since that news it looks like Walker is no longer going to be in the film. The studio loved him in the role and they signed him! But there was an issue about his age. According to Daily Mail, "Tom Rothman, the co-chairman and chief executive officer of Fox Filmed Entertainment, was adamant that Walker's role as The Beast be re-cast... Once Fassbender, age 33, was cast, the ages on the film went out of whack and that Walker, age 26, seemed too old to play Dr Henry 'Hank' McCoy." Bull crap! That really sucks for Walker. I've been hearing great thing's about his acting abilities. The studio is now testing other actors to take over the role of Beast.

The film currently stars James McAvoy as Professor Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and Alice Eve as Emma Frost. The movie is set to hit theaters on June 3rd 2011.

What do you all think about Multiple Man showing up for a little First class movie action?
