Comic-Con 2010: SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD Pre-Video, Secret Screening with Edgar Wright, and Mini-Review

Holy crap! At the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World panel, director/co-writer Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) announced a secret screening for the film and led some of the audience from Hall H Pied Piper style through the streets of San Diego to a theater not far from the convention center. I got to see the finished film, and it was really fantastic.

Afterwards, the band Metric (who played the music for The Clash at Demonhead in the film) played a set on stage at the theater, and the crowd response - both to the film itself and to Metric's appearance - was outstanding. Edgar Wright, Bryan Lee O'Malley (the creator of the graphic novels on which the film is based), and almost every member of the cast showed up, and many of the cast members hadn't even seen the finished cut of the movie yet; they sat among the rest of us and watched the film alongside us.

I've got three videos for you: the first is me heading into the line at Hall H before the panel, the second is me walking directly behind Edgar Wright as he led us to the theater for the screening, and the third is a very brief mini-review of the film. Let us know what you think in the comments section, and keep checking back for more coverage of Comic-Con 2010. (Scott Pilgrim rules!)
