Robert Rodriquez confirms There will be PREDATORS Sequels!
For those of you who enjoyed the movie Predators as much as I did, you will be happy to hear that there are some more Predator movies already in the works! Yes, it looks like we are going to get a Predators sequel! In an interview with IGN producer Robert Rodriguez had this to say,
The studio said, 'Let's do some other ones. What other story ideas do you have? Because it was like, let's test out the market with this one. They really wanted it to be pretty contained, pretty scaled-back. They didn't want to put too many of the ideas into it that we could save for a second one.
So we could see what the appetite was, because the bigger movie would actually be what comes following that. That kind of sets up a new storyline, new location and world, and then you can really go crazy from there.
Rodriguez then went on to say that he actually has an idea of what he would like to do with a sequel to the Predators. It was also revealed that other screenwriters have come in to pitch different versions of his “basic premise, along with new concepts. And then, as with the first Predators, he'll pick the best one."
As for if Rodriguez will get into the directors chair this next time around he said, "I don't know! I think I have too many people wanting me to do Sin City 2 first!"
Honestly, I think I would much rather see him do another Predators film before he goes out to make Sin City 2. What do you all think?
