Blockbuster Adds Video Games To Its Rent-by-Mail Service

Games Netflix by Wejo

Could Blockbuster's rent-by-mail service ever overtake Netflix in popularity? Eh, probably not. It does, however, stand to pique the interest of Joe Gamer with today's announcement that video games have been added to the service.

While Netflix has the market cornered on streaming films and television shows to video game consoles, they've never offered games for rent. Gamefly, a game-specific rent-by-mail business, was the only mainstream way to acquire them until now.

Blockbuster's website currently claims to have more than 3,000 games available for the new service. If you're a member (looks like no special membership is required to take advantage), you may begin adding them immediately.
