JACK RYAN Franchise Gets LOST!

You heard right! The Jack Ryan franchise has hired the services of Lost director/exec. producer Jack Bender and will star Chris Pine as the new Ryan. The ink isn't dry yet but it looks like Bender is the guy for the Jack Ryan Russian reboot entitled Moscow where the story will follow a young, fresh-from-the-marines Ryan who works as an analyst for a Russian billionaire but ends up on the run after being implicated in a terrorist plot.

This will be Bender's first directing job since 1991's Child's Play 3. Don't worry Bad Robot fans, he's not stepping away from J.J. Abrams company either, Abrams will be producing (of course) and has also signed Bender to a one year develpment deal including a directing deal for a sitcom for Warner Brothers TV.
