'30 Days of Night' Director David Slade to take on WOLVERINE 2?

There is a strong possibility that David Slade, the director of 30 Days of Night, Hard Candy and Twilight Saga: Eclipse will take on the directing duties for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine sequel. There is another director in the running as well, Robert Schwentke who directed Flightplan and The Time Traveler's Wife. But according to a well placed studio insider "It's going to be Slade."

Honestly, I think Slade could do a great job with Wolverine 2. He's proven he has the ability to tell a great story and successfully direct actors with Hard Candy, he's shown he can bring on the bloodly intense action with 30 Days of Night, and as for Eclipse... well, sometimes you just need a solid paying gig. I wont hold one bad movie against him.

As much as I hated X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I'm looking forward to this film because I love the story it's being based off of. This is a story that has so much potential! Something that would be just an awesome and amazing film, I just hope it doesn't end up like the last couple of X-Men films.

The story is based off the classic Frank Miller comic where Wolverine goes to Japan to find Mariko and gets involved in a battle with the Japanese underworld.

What do you all think about the Possibility of David Slade directing the Wolverine 2?
