Anthony Mackie, Kevin Zegers and Chris Egan up for Roles in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 4

Paramount Pictures and director Brad Bird are currently in the casting process for Mission: Impossible 4. As of right now we know that Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg will reprise their roles from the franchise. Now the studio and director need to fill in the rest of Ethan Hunt's new team. We've heard that the studio wants to bring in a new young actor to help in the marketing of the film because Cruise doesn't have the star power that he used to have. Not after Knight and Day bombed at the box-office.

It's now being reported that Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Eagle Eye), Kevin Zegers (Frozen) and Chris Egan (Resident Evil: Extinction, Eragon) are all being looked at for possible roles in the film. It wasn't revealed what characters they are up for, or if it is for the same role, or different roles. The Wrap reports:

It's unclear whether the actors are in competition with one another, or whether there are several parts to be cast, but TheWrap has learned that they've auditioned to be new additions to the "M:I" team, and have already screen tested or will do so shortly.

I'm excited for this movie, mostly because this will be Brad Birds first live-action feature film, and I can't wait to see how he handles it. The guy has proven he's an incredible storyteller, so there's a chance MI4 will have a solid story with some great action. Bird has directed several animated films which include, The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille

What do you all think about the three actors up for parts in MI4?
