Just when you think PC gaming is on its last legs, a game like Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty comes along to get things going again. Blizzard Entertainment issued a press release today announcing that the title is now officially the best selling PC game of 2010 and the fastest-selling strategy game of all time with 1.5 million copies sold during its first 48 hours of availability.
Some of the gloss is removed from this achievement when you consider the game launched simultaneously on 5 continents and 11 different languages. Even with that, though, a PC game selling this well in these modern times is pretty impressive. Have you gotten a chance to play Starcraft II yet?
Did it live up to your expectations?
