DC Announces New Creative Team for DETECTIVE COMICS

Comic Book Batman by Wejo

We’ve known for a while that the task of writing Detective Comics would soon be handed over to Scott Snyder (American Vampire) in the near future. What we didn’t know, however, was who would take over drawing the book. Today, DC Comics announced via their Source Blog that the position would go to none other than Jock, whom die-hards will recognize from Vertigo’s The Losers and the 7 month old Batwoman story arc in Detective Comics.

“I could not be more excited about working with Jock,” says Snyder. “Over the last couple months, I’ve spoken to some artists whose work I love, but Jock was always my top choice for this run on Detective Comics. I’ve been a huge fan of his work for a long time. His style is bold and dynamic - perfect for the kind of big, twisted Batman story we’re going to tell together.”
