Details Emerge for Barry Levinson's Sci-Fi Film ISOPOD now Called THE BAY

Back in August we reported that Barry Levinson was attached to direct an indie sci-fi thriller called Isopod. There was hardly any information about the movie when the news came through, but today we have a few more details to share with you.

The film is being developed by the Paranormal Activity team, Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider. The film's title has also been changed to The Bay.

Now here is some information on the film. The story comes from a collection of camera phone accounts, 911 calls and other mediums and tells of a viral outbreak on the eastern seaboard. Much of the focus is thrown on the small town of Claridge, Maryland where chaos ensues.

I'm interested in seeing what Levinson will do with this, there is a lot of room to be creative. He's the same director that brought us films such as Rain Man, Young Sherlock Holmes, The Natural, Sleepers and several other movies.
