Could Pixar End Up Making a DR. STRANGE Film?

According to comic artist Brendan McCarthy Disney and Pixar have considered making a CGI animated Doctor Strange movie. In a recent interview, McCarthy talked about an adaptation of Dr. Strange that he discussed in a meeting with Disney.

I was over in Hollywood earlier this year mooching about, and I had a meeting at Disney and the conversation drifted around to Pixar animating a Doctor Strange movie… Now, wouldn't that be nice.

We reported earlier in the year that Marvel hired Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer to write the script for the film.

Dr. Strange is a self-centered New York surgeon who was robbed of his hands after a car accident due to nerve damage. Strange found his way to a healer in the Himalayas, where he learned to tap into psychic powers to battle evil wizards, demons and other evildoers.

How awesome would it be to see Pixar make a Dr. Strange movie! It would be amazing! At the same time I don't think it will happen. This was most likely an idea just thrown out into the wind that quickly blew away. I'm sure Marvel will want to keep the live action Marvel movie universe they have created in place, unless they do a live-action and a CGI film. To keep the films connected the movie would have to go live-action.

What do you think of the idea of Pixar doing a CGI Dr. Strange film?
