Stephen Sommers Could End up Adapting Dean Koontz's ODD THOMAS
Yeah, so I'm not a big fan of Stephen Sommers, the guy is a pretty talentless director that has made some pretty bad films. He also managed to ruin one of my favorite childhood TV shows when he unimpressively brought G.I. Joe to the big screen. As we reported earlier, he will be coming back to direct the sequel.
Now it's being reported that he may end up directing the big screen film adaptation of Dean Koontz's book series Odd Thomas. The supernatural mysteries focus on a character named Odd Thomas, who narrates the story like a film noir film. The character lacks ambition and works as a fry cook in California, but he has the gift of seeing and communicating with ghosts.
This is a great book series, and I want Sommers to stay as far away from this project as possible! He is the recipe for disaster when it comes to directing films. I conciser him in the same club as Brett Ratner, so I'm not excited about the fact he's looking to direct the film. If the studio producing the film has any brains they won't hire Sommers to direct this film adaptation.
What do you all think about Sommers possibly directing Odd Thomas?
