You have to admit it, this summer's film offerings haven't been all that great or even record breaking. Now that we're in the "Fall" even though it's still 90 freakin degrees out side Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D has given a spark of hope breaking it's own franchise record for Friday. The fourth installment from Paul W.S. Anderson opened Friday at $10.9 mil which set a new record for the video game franchise starring Milla Jovovich. The 3D zombiefied film is set to also break its previous weekend record with three day projections coming in at $30 mil. Not too shabby for this cool Resident Evil offering that was aqctually shot in 3D not converted to 3D!
