Watch The Second Episode of DOCTOR WHO ALTERNATE EMPIRE Web Series

After a long wait, the second installment of Chase White's fan-made web series Doctor Who: Alternate Empire has been posted online.  It stars Julian Bane as a Doctor with an American accent who stumbles into an alternate version of the Star Wars universe.  The episodes have been short, but the TARDIS control room set is a piece of work, and there are some interesting settings and effects.  K-9 has been recast from the static custom model of the first episode to what appears to be a Character Options remote control version.  And if you pay attention you may spot a modified Ben 10 omnitrix.  This seems to be the work of a fan of both franchises with some resources who's having a lot of fun.  What are your thoughts on fan-made mashups like this?  And how about this Doctor?  The new episode is posted below, and just in case you missed the first episode, it's posted below as well.

Here's the posted synopsis of the new episode:

"After being thrown into the vortex... The Doctor finds himself trapped in an unknown base in the Outer Rim Sector. There he is faced with Base Troopers and an imposing female Sith lord who will do whatever is necessary to gain the Doctor's secrets... If only Samantha and K9 can find a way to rescue him in time."

"JULIAN BANE stars as the DOCTOR and CAROLINE MORAHAN as SAMANTHA in this fantastic scifi short film. The Doctor and Samantha go up against the KRALL, an invading alien race that plan to conquer a planetary system based in the STAR WARS universe. This is the first episode of a six part scifi web series..."

There may not be as long a wait for the third episode.  According to Bane's Twitter feed, dated July 25:
