James Cameron Planing a TRUE LIES TV Series!
True Lies is definitely one of my favorite James Cameron films, that movie was awesome in almost every way possible. The film came out in 1994 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. Now it looks like Cameron is actually planning a TV series based on the film, which would be great!
The original film followed Harry Tasker, an everyday man leading a double life as a top-level spy. When he learns that his unknowing wife is unsatisfied with the banality of their life together and, as a result, is planning on having an affair, Tasker accidentally pulls her into his secret battle against Middle Eastern terrorists.
The new TV series is being set up at Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox TV. Rene Echevarria (4400, Castle) is the showrunner who will write and produce the series, which is prepping up to be shopped around to the networks.
I'm actually really excited about this new True Lies series! It could end up being a pretty bad-ass show.
