Want to Know how PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 Starts?

For those of you actually looking forward to seeing Johnny Depp take a crack at playing Captain Jack Sparrow again in Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides, we have little description here for you of the opening scene of the movie. This scene will play out before the credits start on the film, check it out:

Film opens at night. Spanish fisherman spots something in the water. A Shape. He fishes out what he soon discovers is the body of an ancient sailor. The boat's captain rushes over for a look -- before he can make his assessment, the thought-dead sailor's eyes open. Sailor grabs Captain's arm... fade out. The Captain and his aide then arrive at the regal residents of King Ferdinand, with said body, who inform the royal that the not-so-dead sailor claims to have sailed on a vessel belonging to the ship of Ponce de Leon, who died 200 years ago. Ferdinand's first thought is that the sailor has found the legendary Fountain of Youth. He orders 'The Spaniard' to hit the seas in search of it.

It's not much, but it's something. The news comes from What's Playing, who also say's that the film is coming along very well, and that director Rob Marshall "has apparently reigned it in, doing a film that’s more akin to the original Pirates than those sink-and-all sequels." So, that sounds like a plus.

The main reason I have any desire to see this movie is because Ian McShane is playing Blackbeard the Pirate, and I think that's awesome!

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits theaters on May 20, 2011.
