Joel Schumacher to direct THE BARRY WHITE STORY and It's Worse than you Think
Joel Schumacher should just give it up and retire already, they guy couldn't direct a decent film these days if his life depended on it. For those of you who for some reason don't know who this guy is he destroyed the Batman franchise in the 90's. He most recently directed an incredibly awful film called Twelve, which was a box office bomb.
For some reason a studio has signed him on to direct another film. The film is called The Barry White Story, and if you're thinking that this is a Barry White biopic, you would be are wrong... it's a hundred time worse. I wish it was a Barry White biopic!
Pajiba reports that the "pitch, which comes out of the Hollywood Gangs Production company, is in the vein of SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, and it’s about the ghost of Barry White teaching some loser kid how to channel him to get a girl. Criminy, people."
Yeah, this is definitely one of those terribly smelly Hollywood brain farts that some talentless jerk had to come up with. And somehow they were able to get the idea into production where they will waste millions of dollars bringing this piece of crap to the big screen.
