Stephen Lang Officially signs on to Star in Speilberg's TERRA NOVA
Earlier this news broke that actor Stephen Lang, who played the badass villain in James Cameron's Avatar was in talks to join the Stephen Speilberg produced epic sci-fi TV series Terra Nova. It's now being reported that Lang has officially signed on to the role!
The role he will play is a major character in the show, and he will play opposite Jason O'Mara. Lang plays a character by the name Frank Taylor, described as a charismatic and ruthless leader of the Terra Nova settlement who brings on former cop and new Terra Nova resident Jim Shannon (O’Mara) as the latest recruit for his security detail.
The series centers on the Shannons, an ordinary family from 2149 when the planet is dying who are transported back 85 million years to prehistoric Earth where they join Terra Nova, a colony of humans with a second chance to build a civilization. Lang would play the role of Frank Taylor, the charismatic and ruthless leader of the Terra Nova settlement. He asks new arrival Jim Shannon (O'Mara), a former cop, to join his security team.
Lang is perfect for the part and I'm excited for him. I and can't wait to see what he does with this role. This should end up being a cool series.
