Alex Gonzalez cast as Riptide in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS
Is it any surprise that director Matthew Vaughn would keep casting more characters in his X-Men: First Class even though the film is currently in the middle of shooting? I've joked previously that this film would have characters cast in it up until the point it was released in theaters. They've put together a pretty big cast.
Alex Gonzalex is the newest actor to join the cast of X-Men: First Class, he will take on the role of a mutant called Riptide. Riptide is like a human tornado that has the ability to spin his body at an incredibly fast rate. Upon reaching his top speed, Riptide then hurls shuriken and other objects created from calcified masses at such high velocity that they can punch through steel.
First Class is currently shooting in London with actors James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Bacon, January Jones and Lucas Till. The film is scheduled to hit theaters everywhere on June 3rd, 2011.
