Update on that GODZILLA Remake being Developed by Legendary Pictures

Last year it was announced that Legendary Pictures was going to remake the classic Japanese monster film Godzilla. The announcement was then made official, but not much more information on the film project has been released since.

Now Legendary Pictures producer Brian Rogers recently sat down with Zennie62.com to talk about the upcoming 3-D remake of the giant monster. I can't say I'm too excited for this americanized remake of this awesome Japanese monster film, but it's being done by Legendary Pictures, and they seem to develop pretty solid film projects.

In the interview Rogers explains that they want to take the movie in the same direction as Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. So does that mean it's going to be a dark and gritty Godzilla film? Aren't all the Godzilla films technically dark and gritty? He also goes on to reveal that they plan to keep the famous monster in the same vein as the original 1954 film, yes, he will breathe fire! In addition, Rogers say's that Godzilla will be fighting at least one other monster in the film! Of course Godzilla has to fight another monster!
