Hey gang! Here's a beautiful looking new movie trailer for an upcoming short dark magical fantasy film called Mrs. Peppercorn's Magical Reading Room. The trailer you are about to watch was directed by Mike Le Han, and it's impressed the right people. The short film that Han is currently working on finishing will now be turned into a full length feature film.
It’s the story of a young girl who gets more than she bargained for when she checks out some movement in the reading room of the shop across the street. There she meets Mrs. Peppercorn who shows her how magical the world can really be. Only it looks like things eventually take a turn for the worse.
The trailer has a dark and eerie feel to it, there's no doubt that some of what we see was inspired by Guillermo del Toro. Quiet Earth reports that "the trailer is so impressive that it’s garnered the attention of a few studios and Le Han and his co-writer Helen Le Han (his wife) recently signed a co-production deal with Little Freddie Productions to develop a trilogy loosely based on the short film."
