I don't know about you, but I'm a huge fan of Christopher Guest and the film's he has made! This is the man behind such film classics as Spinal Tap, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and Waiting for Guffman, all of which are absolutely hilarious! If you haven't seen these films yet you've got to watch them now! This guy is the master of comedic mockumentaries, and I couldn't be more excited about the premise of his next movie.
According to The Women of the Web, Guest and collaborators Harry Shearer and Michael McKean are going to make a film "about the world of of retro collectors; people who ferret out such things as old comic books, Barbie dolls, vintage magazine ads, vinyl 45-rpm singles, or even – ick! – Charles Manson song lyrics written on Kleenex. There’s a massive underground of collectors who would do the Borgia’s proud as they scheme and double-cross to possess the item they crave."
This is bound to be yet another classic quotable film! Of course Guest will bring together the usual suspects that always star in his movies such as Michael Patrick Higgins, Jane Lynch and Parker Posey.
What do you all think about Guest's next mockumentary?
