Natalie Portman to Play Lois Lane in SUPERMAN Reboot?

Yesterday we disscussed the possibilty of Darren Aronofsky directing the new Superman reboot being planned by Warner Bros. and Chrsitopher Nolan. Today a rumor has hit the internet that the studio is interested in bringing in Natalie Portman to take on the role of Lois Lane, which would be awesome!

This isn't really surprising news, after all Portman just worked with Aronofsky of the film Black Swan. Chances are if Aronofsky ends up directing the movie he'll take portman along for the ride. Portman was actually the studios first choice to play Lane in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns.

Apparently Aronofsky has been talking about this film project for awhile. Maybe things are farther along with this than we thought.

The new Superman project was written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan. The recent short list of directors to take on the project include Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code), Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Battle: Los Angeles), Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), Tony Scott (True Romance, Unstoppable), and Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300).

Of course film geeks all over the world would love to see Portman take on this role! I'm definitley on board with the idea! What do you all think?
