Ryan Gosling to Join George Clooney's FARRAGUT NORTH

It looks like George Clooney is going to cast Ryan Gosling in the lead role of his next film Farragut North. Gosling is currently in negotiations to join the project.

In the film Gosling will play a a young communications director who works for a fast rising presidential candidate. During the course of the campaign, the idealistic young man falls prey to the backstabbing and other dirty trickery of more seasoned rivals.

I really hate it when that happens, I've fallen prey to those backstabbing antics in previous jobs myself. Bastards.

A couple years ago Leonardo DiCaprio was looking to join the movie, but obviously that didn't work out for anyone.

The movie is based on a play by Beau Willmon who actually worked for Howard Dean's 2004 presidential run, and the story is based on his own experiences.
