Hilary Duff up for the Role of Gwen Stacy in SPIDER-MAN?
It looks like there's a chance that Hilary Duff may be up for the role of Gwen Stacy in the upcoming Spider-Man 3D reboot being directed by Marc Webb. This is just a rumor for now, but you never know how these things play out.
Duff's husband, NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, was recently interviewed by a reporter from the Globe and Mail, and they say they saw a script marked Spider-Man lying on a coffee table in their home. Here's is the exerpt from the article,
The kitchen contains evidence of their professional lives - his daily diet is posted on the fridge (from a bacon cheddar burrito for breakfast to five pigs-in-a-blanket as a nighttime snack) and a script marked "Spiderman" sits on the table, with lines for a character simply called "girl" highlighted in yellow (rumours swirl about who Spidey's love interest will be in the series' next instalment.)'
Not long ago we got word that six other actresses were auditioning for the lead female role, which has yet to be confirmed. We still don't know if the love interest of Peter Parker will be Gwen Stacy. Some of those actresses included Emma Roberts, Imogen Poots and Teresa Palmer.
It really wouldn't surprise me if Hilary Duff was auditioning for a role in the film, but a seriously doubt she would be cast as the female lead. Maybe a secondary character?
What do you think about Duff as a possible candidate for the lead female character in Spider-Man 3?
