Nintendo's 3DS Priced and Dated

Games by Wejo

At a press conference only a few short hours ago, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimes announced final release details of the Nintendo 3DS US release.

On March 27, those who happen to have $249.99 to burn may purchase the handheld in either Cosmo Black or Aqua Blue. There will be “more than” 30 games available within the “launch window,” which the press release described as from the product’s release until early June.  A handful of games on the “launch window” list actually appear to be worth playing, too. Bonus.

For those that have been living under a rock, the Nintendo 3DS is the first handheld gaming device to offer 3D sans glasses. "You have to see Nintendo 3DS to believe it,” says Fils-Aims. And it's like nothing you've ever seen before." We’d probably not need to see it to believe it if it were like something we’d seen before, Reggie.

If you’ve already decided to drop $250 rather than wait for the imminent price drop, you may now pre-order the unit via Gamestop.
