Director Peter Jackson Hospitalized but he's OK

Movie Peter Jackson The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey about 13 years agoby Joey Paur

I just wanted to quickly let you know that a statement has been released by a publicist for The Hobbit films today telling us that Peter Jackson has had an emergency surgery. Here's what they had to say,

Sir Peter Jackson was admitted to Wellington Hospital on Wednesday night with acute stomach pains. He subsequently underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer. Sir Peter is currently resting comfortably and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery. Sir Peter's surgery is not expected to impact on his directing commitment to The Hobbit beyond a slight delay to the start of filming.

The two movies are expected to start filming soon for December 2012 and December 2013 release dates.
