Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) has been cast in an upcoming drama called Welcome to the People. She joins Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks who were previously cast in the movie.
Welcome to People tells the story of a man (Pine) who must deliver $150,000 in cash to an alcoholic sister (Banks) he didn’t know he had after the death of their father. Without telling her who he is, the guy also gets involved in the life of her angry 12-year-old son. Wilde will play a character named Hannah who is Pines' character's girlfriend.
The movie was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci who are best known for writing big budget action films like Transformers, Star Trek and Mission: Impossible III. I assume they've done this dramatic film to prove that they have some range. Kurtzman is set to make his directorial debut with this movie.
