McG Enters Negotiations To Direct OUIJA With Universal


McG has entered into negotiations with Universal Pictures to direct the supernatural action adventure Ouija

 This will mark the second Hasbro related film to move into production following Battleship which opens May 18, 2012. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis (who wrote Tron: Legacy) have written the script for Ouija. Hasbro's Brian Goldner and Bennet Schneir are producing along with Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Production is expted to being this summer, for a November 12, 2012 release. 

Many directors have been circiling Ouija since October when Universal pushed back the start date for Stretch Armstong directed by Rob Letterman and starring Taylor Lautner. The board game was first launched by Parker Brothers in 1966 and has sold over 12 million copies. Hasbro acquired it in 1991.

McG is currently in the midst of post-production on This Means War, which stars Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine
