Javier Bardem Confirmed as Next JAMES BOND Villain

There's been a lot of talk and speculation surrounding Javier Bardem being the next James Bond villain. We heard he was offered the role, and he's talked about it in the past, but there's nothing that's been said that's officially confirmed his involvement with the film until now, when Bardem himself confirmed that he's doing it in a recent interview with ABC's Nightline. The actor was asked point blank if he was signed on to do the next James Bond film, and here's what he said...

I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details.

He makes it pretty clear there. Bardem is a completely badass actor that makes for a hell of a sinister villain. We know this from his role in No Country for Old Men. I am extremely excited to see him go head to head with Daniel Craig in Bond 23. There are also rumors that Ralph Fiennes will end up playing a secondary villain in the film which would just make this next Bond film even more awesome.

What are your thoughts on Bardem playing the main villain against James Bond?
