ACT OF VALOR Trailer - Real Life Navy SEALs Movie

There's something about an action thriller being made by real Navy SEALs that getting me pumped up. Seriously, the cast of the film in are all actual Navy SEALs. The first trailer has been released for the film Act of Valor, the story is fictional but the tactics are real. The movie is basically on hell of an awesome Navy recruiting video. This movie looks like it will be completely badass. I was so close to joining the Navy at one point in my life, I really wanted to try out for the SEALs, but life had a different plan for me in the end.

The movie is described as “a hybrid feature film based on the SEAL ethos that highlights both naval special warfare capability and fleet interaction.” Co-director McCoy said “I found the SEALs fascinating. People never know exactly how far you can push yourself, and the SEALs are a direct representation of that.”

The new film was directed by ex-stuntmen and documentary filmmakers/commercial directors Mike “Mouse” McCoy (Dust to Glory) and Scott Waugh (Step Into Liquid) and written by Kurt Johnstad (300). It stars Alex Veadov, Roselyn Sanchez and Nestor Serrano.

Act of Valor follows a Navy Seal squad on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent, and in the process takes down a complex web of terrorist cells determined to strike America at all costs. The filmmakers had unprecedented Naval access resulting in high-octane combat sequences and never-before-seen military operation scenes which are composited from actual events in the lives of the men appearing in the film and their comrades.

Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think! Does the movie look good to you?
